nd and vicinity, in order toaid in the prevention of accidents and thereby minimize theirnumber, hereby request the Legislature of our State to enact suchlaws as will instruct the Liquor License Commissioners of theState of Ohio and all the respective counties in the State of Ohioto refuse to issue licenses for the conducting of a saloon to be atthe least not nearer than 500 feet of any manufacturing plant orfoundry. We hereby further resolve that a copy of this resolution besent to the Governor of Ohio and to the members of the StateLegislature. All the speakers at the above banquet were very demonstrative intheir remarks as to the importance of the subject. The Author intendsfrom this on to more vigorously urge the work, and will be most pleasedto hear from any individual, society or legislature officials that might lenda helping hand in the interest of this good cause.
